Not sure why this place is listed as closed because it was definitely open when I went with coworkers end of August 2021. I ordered the Fried Chicken sandwich. Back in 2019 when I first visited and ordered the fried chicken sandwich I remembered it came with a round sesame bund. I guess they changed it and use a hoagie style roll, which is a little hard. The sesame bun is much better. Service is on the slower side but lovely open air patio and sidewalk seating.

Fried chicken 5 stars! Pork belly sandwich 5 stars! Choc chip cookie 5 stars! Really enjoyed this place with their outdoor seating. Really casual and cozy. I went for brunch with my girlfriends and a pup. Great place to hang out, eat, drink, relax and bring your dog. It's always hard to find dog friendly delicious restaurants and this is definitely on the top of the list in sf! Highly recommend trying it out.

Fried chicken sandwich was drenched in aioli. So salty. Has the potential to be good if they put less sauce. I also came here another time and got the salad, was pretty good. Staff is nice and cheerful. You pay first and seat yourself, they have an nice ample seating area where you get your own water, utensils etc. A bit overpriced but tips are not mandatory since it's fast casual. Go to stable cafe nearby if you are sticking to a budget around $10 and want similar quality food in a similar ambiance.

Pretty steep price for the sandwiches ($15ish) but totally worth it! Super delicious and fresh sandwiches with well paired toppings. I ordered (no line) and sat outside. Such a lovely place. Their chai is a bit sweet but pretty yummy. I tried the salumeria which was tasty but maybe a bit too much mayo. Fried chicken sandwich was also good :) Pickles were both spicy and sweet and added a nice crunch.

Rounding up for the nice patio. Came here recently on Sunday around 3pm for a late lunch and the weather was great so it was awesome to sit on the patio. You order at the counter then can sit outside. We had the salumi sandwich and the Cuban because they were sold out of the fried chicken. The signature salumi sandwich was definitely the better of the two and I love the pickles that come on the side. They have good looking stocked shelves of sauces, dried pastas and other confinement's that I'll have to buy some next time. I'll have to come back to try the fried chicken!

Contrary to all of the adoration and praise they've received over the years, my experience with Flour + Water ranked somewhere between disappointed and mildly upsetting. Sure, all of the hype may have had something to do with it, but nothing was very good outside of our dessert. Which, in a very roundabout way, is my way of saying how pleasantly surprised I was by Salumeria! Because, had I known the two were connected beforehand, I may not have even bothered to stop in! Regardless of their background, I'd be lying if I said just Salumeria's name wasn't enough to catch my eye. So, the first time my coworkers suggested coming here for lunch, I was more than a little intrigued! Especially after seeing the meats, pastas, and cheeses behind the counter, as well as their menu board. While I can't speak to their hot/cooked items, their selection of sandwiches is pretty dope, including their special of the day (the first two I've tried below). -- FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH with Coleslaw, Pickles, and Chili Aioli on a Sesame Bun...$13 (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/salumeria-san-francisco?select=IEwLvRf0gpK2JXLepT2rXA) I'm not going to lie - I was pretty impressed when I unwrapped this thing. Not only was the fried chicken huge, but it tasted even better than it looked. It was a little heavy on the breading, but the chicken was crispy, moist, and well complemented by the coleslaw. For me, the only knock was with how dry the bun was, though the aioli (which had a nice kick to it) helped. -- MEATBALL SANDWICH with Gruyere Cheese, Marinara Sauce, Aioli, and Arugula...$13 (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/salumeria-san-francisco?select=1Ig44Ex2CrN8NLsX2hahGQ) Not to oversell it, but this was one of the best meatball sandwiches I've ever had (so far...)! Despite being a little burnt, I liked how crusty the bread was and how it wasn't drowning in marinara sauce. The meatballs were the star though - plump, juicy, and delicious! Plus, the cheese was so gooey! -- SALUMI SANDWICH with Ham, Capicola, Salumi Toscano, Provolone, Aioli, Peperonata, and Red Wine Vinaigrette on Ciabatta...$14 (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/salumeria-san-francisco?select=SedlKlePg9JeW3Pf8adSKQ) Given their name, of course I had to try this sandwich before writing my review! All in all, while it didn't amaze like the meatball one, this was rock solid. There was a good amount of all three meats (which were all delicious) and the provolone and ciabatta were both great. I didn't get much of the peperonata, but it wasn't a big deal. While all three sandwiches were pretty legit, I'd be remiss not to mention how service here can really drag during peak lunch hours. It's understandable that things can get bogged down when it's busy, but other places nearby seem to do a much better job of handling the crowds. Nearly an hour from walking in the door to walking out with my sandwich? That's just ridiculous. All in all, as awesome as the sandwiches are here, it's hard to give more than four stars based on how long it can take to grab lunch on the go. While I'll probably be back at some point, especially to try their Porchetta Sandwich and their pastas, it'll have to be on a day when I won't be in a rush to be anywhere else afterwards.

For our office lunch on Friday, August 18th, I decided I wanted a fried chicken sandwich. Our delivery order arrived via Caviar around 12 noon as scheduled. My workplace does an auto check out on Caviar the day before, so lunch typically arrives in a half hour window. This one was scheduled to arrive between 12pm and 12:30pm. *Weekday Fried Chicken Sandwich: House coleslaw, chili aioli, with bread and butter pickles on sesame bun, Available on Tuesdays and Fridays only ($14) *Side Salad: Any of our salads can be made as a side salad, Little Gem Salad - Buttermilk Green Goddess dressing, sliced baby carrots, sliced radish, avocado, chives, chervil ($6) The fried chicken sandwich was delicious! Crispy, tender, and moist. It was a chicken thigh, so the meat was super juicy. I know some people would prefer breast, but I'm more of a thigh girl. The sandwich was huge, but I managed to finish the whole thing. The salad was also great as well. A good size. Though the avocados looked a little old. And I thought the dressing could have had more flavor. Still, I like having greens when eating something greasy like fried chicken. A nice satisfying lunch. If they come around again, I'm all over that fried chicken sandwich!

This literally was the qunitsental hole in the wall. Super friendly service with a good variety of cheese's, spreads, and meats. Came in to buy cheese for a party and the woman behind the counter was super cool and didn't rush use, and it felt like we were at someone's small shop. Like a small town feeling in a big city, but in that good way where people are friendly and not pushy. The cheese I bought was more expensive than Whole Foods but I guess I'm paying for the experience and supporting a local business. I'll definitely be back for their sandwiches in the future.
